Connection ID

Mandatory field, numbers only.

Each connection requires a unique Connection ID. The next available connection ID is suggested - you can change it to another unique number as you wish.

Connection Type

Optional field.

Choose a Connections Type or leave the field blank.

There are no free-text entries allowed in this field - you can only choose from the items listed.

Connection Label

Optional field, maximum 100 characters.

Use the Connection Label to describe your connection, e.g. "Console Line"

Ports

Each connection requires at least two endpoints called "Ports".
Some connection types (for example Ethernet or SCSI) can have more than two ports.

For each port, specify the following:

Port ID

Mandatory field, unique numbers per connection only.

Device

Mandatory field.

Choose one of your registered computers or peripherals.

Port Label

Optional field.

Use the port label to identify your port, e.g: "SCSI node 3"

Use the "Add Port" button to add more ports.
